Grand Blanc High School Pom Pon
Gabby began her time with Grand Blanc Pom as a sophomore when she made the junior varsity team. After a year of growth and hard work she was placed on the varsity team for the following two years. Gabby and her team created their own halftime routines for football games, basketball games, and the occasional soccer game. Additionally, they performed at special events such as the homecoming parade and inter-class games. They also spent every pre-season summer at a UDA training camp and competed at multiple competitions throughout the year. During Gabby's time on pom she was fortunate enough to earn all blue ribbons at each camp (the highest adjudication), two UDA All American awards, an invitation to perform at the London New Year's Parade, and an invitation to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Nevertheless, the highlight of Gabby's three years on pom was winning 1st place at the Palace Classic competition with her teammates senior year! Because of the team's win they were able to perform at a Detroit Pistons' halftime show. View the 2012 Championship routine below. Gabby can be seen starting second from the front in the middle column. She is also featured in the front and center from 1:00-1:15. |
